OpenCat#

OpenCat is a local client for OpenAI and ChatGPT that provides a smoother and faster chat experience than the web by calling the API interface and using keys.

With a beautiful UI design and no additional mandatory fees, the software is available in three versions: IOS, IPAD, and MAC. Data can be synchronized through iCloud, making it a very user-friendly product. The developers are also continuously working on new features, with a fast iteration speed.

How to Configure OpenCat for Team#

1. Docker Environment Variables
   - PORT specifies the port for HTTP mode.
   - API_DOMAIN=https://xx.com If you want to connect to another openai proxy, use this variable to override the default https://api.openai.com
2. Team Process
   - When creating a team for the first time, a root account will be generated, and the client will save the token for this root account, allowing the client to manage the server from then on.
   - If the client needs to connect to the server again and manage data, they need to reset the root token and then enter the token to connect.

3. Difference Between HTTPS Mode and HTTP Mode
   - HTTPS mode automatically applies for and saves HTTPS certificates and requires ports 80 and 443.
   - HTTP mode can directly provide services and can also be configured to work with other services, such as using nginx as a proxy.

How to Configure Azure TTS#

Create Resources in Azure

1. Log in to your Azure account.
2. Click on the link to create TTS resources: https://portal.azure.com/#create/Microsoft.CognitiveServicesSpeechServices

• Region: It is recommended to choose East Asia
• Name: Choose any name.
• Pricing Tier: Select the free trial (Free F0) or standard billing.

1. After filling in the information, click on "Review + Create."
2. Click on "Create."

Configure OpenCat

1. After successfully creating the resources, click on "Go to resource."
2. In OpenCat, select the corresponding region.
3. Click on the copy button next to "Key 1" and copy it to the Token in OpenCat.
4. After successful verification, the supported voice list will be displayed below.
5. After previewing, click on the plus sign to add the resource to the top.
6. In any chat, click on the three-dot button in the upper right corner and select "Read Aloud." The voice you selected will be displayed at the top.
